Never fear! There is a simple alternative that doesn't require a midnight run to WalMart!

Just dig through your container of Duplos* until you find a person with a friendly smile and a nice smooth head.

Quickly pop the Duplo person (headfirst) into baby's mouth and voila! Problem solved!

Brianne came up with this solution all by herself! She seems well satisfied with Patty the pacifier. Patty was originally the namesake of Patty's Pony Stable received by Marianne a number of years ago.


*This solution assumes that you, in fact, have a container of Duplos. At our house Duplos/Legos are an indispensible part of childhood. If you are lacking in that area, I suggest a trip to a toystore ASAP. We happen to have an extra large rubbermaid container that is close to overflowing. It contains Duplos collected over many years, including some now classified as collector's items dating back to the early 1980s. We are well stocked for grandchildren for years to come.
