Twelve years ago today, my nine year old son wrote this:
I am glad we have a written record of his reaction to this horrible tragedy. May we always remember.
You may wonder about the last line of his journal entry. He was referring to the satellite dish that my brother was installing on our roof. TV was a huge part of that day. We spent much of the day and the following days watching news coverage of 911 and the aftermath. I am grateful my children were home with me on that fateful day, that we were able to watch, discuss and cry together.
